Community Involvement Program

As part of the tenby10 project, a community study is being undertaken to assist in identifying strategies and solutions to ensure the sustainability of a healthy and prosperous community. In October and November 2006, the team at Coakes Consulting were in Port Pirie identifying ways in which the community could work together more effectively to reduce children’s exposure to lead. A total of 184 people in Port Pirie were interviewed over this time and numerous suggestions and ideas were put forward. The ‘your say’ community newsletter is one avenue of how the results of the program are communicated back to the Pirie Community.
